Change Labelling (FSANZ) to show use of Palm Oil

The issue

Currently Palm Oil can appear on an ingredients list as Vegetable Oil

As a family we care about how Palm Oil plantations is impacting our forests, endangered animal species and the environment in general.

However the food labelling laws regarding Palm Oil have not been updated since 2011.

We think consumer awareness has changed considerably since 2011 (ours has) so we think it's important to make it as easy as possible to tell whether you are supporting an industry that has devastating consequences for the environment and our health.

UN Sustainability Goals indicate that Urgent and Significant action should have taken place to reduce the degradation of natural habitats by 2020. Surely this would have been more attainable if consumers knew that they were using Palm Oil!

SO CHANGE THE LABEL NOW - This Petition is a way you CAN help!
