The Issue
Employees are treated poorly, mainly minorities. Employees are retaliated against if they complain about management or call corporate. Matt McConaughey runs the plant like a prison or a slave camp. He retaliates by not responding to employees complaints, demotion with malice, working with the supervisor to write up individuals until they become eligible for termination and forcing us to work in a hostile work environment. I have been harrassed (sexual innuendos, threatening behavior from co workers and verbally)constantly for years and nothing has yet to be done about it except in one incident when someone from the outside came in to deal with it. Each time I write up a complaint , coincidentally the HR representative ends up quitting. This has happened three times, with three different individuals and now they are all gone. The HR director befriends certain people to gain personal information about individuals that he's targeting and creates false reasoning why one quits or appears to be upset with the company. It's shocking how corporate will receive multiple complaints about what's going on and yet only rely on Matt's word as if he's not capable of being untruthful. Corporate employees often visits the plant and are shielded from the hourly employees so there is no interaction whatsoever. Any time there's a complaint, the main thing asked is "what's your labor grade(hourly pay), as if the person shouldn't be complaining if they are earning a certain amount of money. Employees are afraid to complain about the wrongdoings, the overwhelming work environment, and the unfair treatment in fear of retaliation from the HR department. It seems that HR is running the company oppose to the Plant Manager because the HR director intervenes with most decisions that favor minorities. White people are treated with respect and a granted the higher paying jobs also. It's time for fair treatment in the workplace and a change in the HR department. All people should be treated equally and should have the right to address concerns without being retaliated against.
