The Issue

As a proud member of the graduating class at Bridgeport's FCW inter district school, our graduation deserves to be nothing short of extraordinary. Historically, every other graduating class before us has had the privilege to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime achievement at the amphitheater – a space that not only accommodates more people, but also amplifies the monumental nature of this event.

The amphitheater provides an environment that is spacious, beautiful, and echoes the significance of our accomplishments. Unlike the limited space at the high school, the amphitheater allows families to join comfortably, fostering the community spirit that graduation symbolizes. It has always been a tradition, an expectation, and an honor for graduating classes to experience their closing chapter amidst the open air and vast beauty that only the amphitheater can offer.

In addition to adding to the importance of the event, the logistical benefits cannot be ignored. The amphitheater offers better facilities, ample parking for attendees, and a professional setting that reflects the prestige of our achievements over the past years. It's about making this day memorable not just for us, the graduates, but for our families and teachers who have supported us every step of the way.

We are on the cusp of a new beginning and deserve to end this chapter with the dignity that our hard work merits. For many of us, the venue matters because it is symbolic of the educational journey we have completed. Our families shouldn’t have to cramp into a high school football feild when there is a much more fitting venue available.

This petition seeks the support of the school administration and the community to move our graduation ceremony to the amphitheater. Please join us in making this possible for the class of 2025 by signing and supporting our request.
