We propose that the mandatory "CLAWBACK" of the GIS which is set at $5000.00/year be adjusted to accommodate for an economically viable living income of $2500.00/month for Canadian seniors 65+ beginning July 2020. This proposed economically viable living income of $2500.00/month for Canadian seniors 65+ beginning  July 2020 is only equal to the current 2021 minimum wage in Canada. In conclusion, this proposal of an economically viable living income of $2500.00/month for Canadian seniors 65+ starting July 2020 should be continued to maintain parity with the Canadian minimum wage.
