I was dress coded today for having ripped jeans which ONLY showed my knees.I think this was completely uncalled for. I don’t think there is a reason for there to be an issue about showing your knees!This is to petition Mary persons high school to stop this ridiculous dress code and taking away from our LEARNING TIME for stupid things like showing our knees.I was in the office then sent to ISS and this took up more then half of my learning time for one of my classes.There is absolutely NO reason showing your knees should be a issue when we are aloud to wear shorts that show our knees as stated in the dress code “Skirts and shorts for both male and female students must be no shorter than 5" above the knee.” So if we are aloud to wear shorts that show our knee what is the difference??? Not only that but I have seen multiple people men and women wearing jeans that showed their knees today and have in the past and they have not gotten in trouble.Please help change the dress code and make pants with holes at the knees aloud!
