The current manager of Beaumont Animal Care Facility in Beaumont Texas has a policy of euthanizing ADOPTABLE DOGS for absolutely no justifiable reason. In a television interview brought about from inquiries from a concerned citizen “whistleblower “ the manager, Mathew Fortenberry, claimed the facility was a no kill shelter but that was a blatant lie and can be backed up by photographic evidence and eye witness testimony.   His policies place good, adoptable dogs on a “Code Red List” with a euthanasia date which is very fluid and often moved up to kill a dog sooner than later. Even when there are available empty kennels to house the animals. 

i operate a training facility and thru my Pawz 4 Vets efforts I adopt dogs from the shelter and train them as service dogs for disabled veterans. Two dogs that I have recently adopted from the Code Red List were within 2 hours of being euthanized but are now performing their duty allowing a disabled veteran to rejoin society. 

Because of the whistleblower’s television interview Mr Fortenberry has banned her from visiting the facility and taking pictures of the Code Red dogs in an effort to get the dogs adopted or fostered, both efforts to save the dogs life. I would never have known about the 2 service dogs I adopted had it not been for the whistleblower taking photographs and posting them on social media. 

This petition is an effort to get the Government Entities over the BAC Shelter to replace Mr Fortenberry and install management and policies that protect these innocent animals from being euthanized for no reason other than one man’s whims.
