During December of 2023, Oakmont high school changed their schedule for the 3rd time in 4 years. Before the updated schedule, students had intervention at a set time, after 3rd period. Now, the intervention period changes everyday. 

If you don't know what intervention is, its a shorter class period where students can use resources on campus to help better their grades and or study in calm environments with their friends. 

Oakmont high school students are directly affected by this schedule change. Students used to have the opportunity to study with their friends (responsibly) and get help from any of their teachers on any day, if needed. Now, students have to use online passes to study with friends. Only kids with A's and B's can get into certain locations to study with other people. If you want help from another teacher or one of your teachers that day, then you'd need to ask your teacher at the time to leave their class, setting it up days in advance via email, which can be hard for students with lack of internet at home and or people with unexpected grade changes 

If we get enough signatures then we can get out normal schedule back. Which will help the learning environment of so many kids, making it easier for students to find educational resources.

If we don't act now then Oakmont high school will continue to change our schedule almost every year, causing an unstable work environment for the students. Students don't want to learn the new schedule changes and rules, they want to learn stuff about school!!
