Dear Supporters,
Thank you so much for all of your support and signatures. We have reached a critical point that needs immediate attention. Our school is located right here in Africa, yet they still refuse to accept African hair. Instead, they are forcing us to wear scarves over our braids, which isn't real acceptance at all it's just a way to make us hide who we are. This policy makes the school environment even more inhospitable especially since teachers already insult us and make degrading comments about our hair and see us as ‘competition ’ .It makes no sense that we are being forced to cover up and erase our identity on our own continent. Real inclusion means being allowed to wear our natural and protective styles openly and proudly without administrative restrictions or teachers harassing us. We demand immediate accountability and for this policy to be dropped completely. We will not stay silent.
