Change: Accountability and transparency

Change: Accountability and transparency
The Issue

Petition for New Leadership in Hamden High School Football
Hamden football has a rich history, but the last nine years tell a different story. Under the current leadership (35-55 win percentage 38.9) program has averaged fewer than four wins a season. Home wins are under 50%, and road wins are less than 20% — clear signs of a program struggling to compete consistently.
Beyond the record, the lack of discipline on the field has become routine, and few—if any—student-athletes are moving on to play football in college. That is not just about wins and losses, but about opportunities being missed for our young people and about the shine of our city dimming under this leadership.
This is not about personal attacks. It’s about accountability, transparency, and giving Hamden athletes the foundation they deserve. Families and alumni want to know: Which board is making these decisions, and how can the community contribute to positive change?
Hamden is full of talent and passion. We need leadership that can turn that into results, restore pride, and create a real pipeline for our athletes’ future.
Hamden football deserves better.
