Lobby Your Labour MP At Their Local Constituency Surgery!

Silver Voices is calling on all our supporters to make an appointment to see their constituency MP at their local surgery, in the run up to the Budget, to draw their attention to the contents of this petition. This is particularly important if you have a Labour MP, as they must be held accountable for the decisions of their Government. Because most Labour MPs are embarrassed by the decision to scrap winter fuel payments for 10 million older people, many are trying to hide from pensioner wrath. Only about a dozen Labour MPs bothered to attend the parliamentary rally and lobby on Monday to hear the case to restore the payment! Many emails from constituents on the issue are not being answered. So turn up at their local surgeries and force them to explain why the winter fuel payment is being withdrawn from so many older people on modest incomes!
