Anyone that owns a pet knows just how important they are to us, and their health and well being is at the forefront of our mind.

Currently Veterinary Practices are not included in the Governments financial help to businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Due to many self isolating, Veterinary practices will be hit just as hard as any other business, and require financial help to maintain their staffs jobs, and to enable ongoing services to all animals in need. 

Pets are a lifeline to many people, including the elderly who may only have their pet for company. 

Currently Vets are not included in business rates relief, staff wages help, or cash grants. " British Veterinary Association (BVA) calls for veterinary practices to be recognised as ‘business critical’ on account of the essential services they provide that protect animal health and welfare, public health and wellbeing.". 

Please sign this petition on behalf of all your pets and Veterinary Practices to keep our local Vets and their staff stay employed and stay open to keep our pets safe and healthy. Our local surgeries are an extremely important essential service required by all pet owners. 

Just a side note, I for one, am extremely proud of our Government during this worrying time. They have pulled out all the stops to help ease the financial worry to the public and most businesses.
