Support for new businesses with little or no revenue from the government
The Issue
If new businesses with little or no revenue are forced to shut down due to Covid-19, the Government should set up emergency support to ensure newly registered businesses are supported financially too.
Being in a situation as such leaves newly businesses with no support and not been factored in the financial plans by the chancellor. Being factored in will support new businesses to survive and not fall into saturated debt during this time. New businesses are now left to pay rent to landlords with no income. If landlords are not offering mortgage holiday to tenants or getting mortgage holiday from their lenders the landlord will expect the tenants to pay rent. How can this be allowed when non-essential businesses are closed? Potentially, this could go on for several months. Do you expect tenants to pay rent when we are forced to close? We need support during this crisis as well, what about us!
