Champion Equal Parental Rights & Child Welfare Reform in the UK

The Issue

Every Parent's Heartache: Uniting for Equal Rights

Parents from all backgrounds, regardless of gender, find themselves in the heart-wrenching struggle of family breakdowns. This includes both fathers and mothers, all facing the anguish of being separated from their beloved children.

Children's Destiny: Equal Rights for Their Future

The very future of our children hangs in the balance. If we don't reform our family law system to prioritize equal rights for parents and the welfare of our kids, they face the risk of being caught in the crossfire of parental disputes. The emotional, physical, and educational well-being of our children is at stake.

Time for Change: Protecting Families Today

The time to act is now.

With mounting evidence of the detrimental effects of parental alienation and the shortcomings of our current system, we cannot delay. Immediate action is crucial to protect our children's futures and to ensure fairness for all parents. By signing this petition, you are helping us demand change and create a more just society for families across the UK.

We, the undersigned, earnestly and passionately call for a comprehensive reform of our family law system to ensure equal rights and protection for all parents and, above all, safeguard the well-being and future prospects of our children. Our commitment to this cause stems from the deeply personal experiences of parents who have witnessed their children caught in the turmoil of relationship breakdowns. With unwavering resolve and a shared commitment to the welfare of our children, we present these amendments.

We fervently advocate that child residency determinations must prioritize the fundamental elements of duty of care, emotional stability, physical well-being, suitable housing, access to education, and financial security for our beloved children.

We strongly contend that all parents, once proven to hold equal parental responsibility, should have an equal opportunity to share in the residency and upbringing of their children

.
We implore for an empowered Cafcass, equipped with the authority to ensure that access is granted when evidence reveals that resident parents obstruct visitation. Stricter sanctions should be imposed for non-compliance with child arrangement orders.

We urgently request the acceleration of court proceedings, with a mandate for resolution within nine months to minimize emotional turmoil for all parties involved.

We call for the establishment of a clear timeframe for formal parental plans, requiring the agreement of both parents or mediation by an impartial third party in cases of disputes.

We advocate for an independent watchdog to ensure compliance with access orders.

We champion fair treatment for parents regardless of their financial circumstances.

We seek to prevent parents at risk of fleeing with children from traveling abroad without the consent of the non-resident parent once parental responsibility has been established.

We propose one-on-one sessions as an integral part of court proceedings to mitigate unhealthy arguments and gender bias.

We firmly suggest that non-resident parents gain full physical custody in cases of repeated negligence or five or more breached contact orders, supported by audio, visual, or written evidence.

These amendments aim to protect all parents and, in turn, enhance social justice in the UK. By doing so, we hope to reduce crime and improve the mental health of men, women, and children, ultimately creating a better and more just society for all.
