Challenging the No Phone Policy in Schools

The Issue

As students, we believe it's essential to challenge the current no phone policy implemented within our schools. With the rise in technology use worldwide, phones have become an important learning tool, enabling access to useful resources anytime, anywhere. A study from the London School of Economics found that there is only a slight improvement in test scores (up to 6%) in schools where phones were banned, suggesting that benefits from banning phones are not substantial (LSE, 2015). Hence, a blanket ban on phones could prevent us from leveraging technology in education. Given these findings, we demand a change in the no phone policy to foster a more tech-friendly learning environment. Add your name to this petition and support our call for change in our schools.
