I have a deep love for street dogs, and my life is intertwined with their well-being. Personally, I care for two stray dogs in my neighborhood. Over time, I have vaccinated them, fed them, and provided the care they need to lead healthy lives. Street dogs are an essential part of our community, often overlooked and misjudged. They deserve compassion and understanding, not cruelty and dismissal.

The recent decision by the Supreme Court of India regarding the stray dogs of Delhi has brought a wave of distress not only to animal lovers but to all those who believe in humane treatment of animals. This verdict risks the safety and well-being of numerous stray animals that bring joy and balance to our streets.

These animals have coexisted with humans for decades, playing a crucial role in controlling waste and maintaining ecological balance. They are giving us free security without asking for anything.

Even the Indian Army said recently that stray dogs are keeping border areas safe from terrorists.

They are harmless. Even some reports suggests that pet dogs of so-called high breed are more violent than the stray dogs. 

Then why we are targeting these poor souls?

The ruling fails to acknowledge the positive impact they have and could result in misguided actions against them.

There are more humane ways to manage the stray dog population, such as implementing widespread sterilization and vaccination programs, along with promoting adoption and community involvement in caring for these animals. Countries worldwide have successfully implemented such measures, significantly reducing stray populations while ensuring the animals are treated with care and respect.

I urge the authorities to reconsider the decision and employ solutions that are compassionate and effective for both humans and animals. Implementing a humane and comprehensive solution will reflect India's rich tradition of compassion and respect for all living beings.

Yes, I am talking to you all. I know you all are too busy in your lives. Your jobs, your families, your health and so many other things. 

But I just want 1 minute of yours. 

हम सब जिस गली, मोहल्ला या कॉलोनी में रहते है वहां हम सबके आस पास एक दो गली के कुत्ते घूमते होंगे।

हम में से कुछ उनसे डरते होंगे, कुछ उन्हें खिलाते पिलाते होंगे। जब हम मार्किट में आस पास कही आते जाते होंगे तो प्यार से अपनी पूंछ हिलाते हुए आपके पीछे आते होंगे। आपके दो बिस्किट्स की कीमत वो अपनी पूरी वफादारी और जी जान से चुकाते है। आपके बॉडीगार्ड की तरह आपके घर और आस पास में रहकर। 

और उनकी आपको भी ऐसी आदत हो जाती है कि किसी दिन वो न दिखे तो चिंता हो जाती है कि अरे वो शेरू, टॉमी, भूरा या कालू कहाँ गया ?

होता है न ऐसा ?

हम से जरा से प्यार और कल की बची हुयी सुखी रोटी के बदले वो हमसे कितना प्यार करते है । 

पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने दिल्ली के सभी Stary Dogs को रोड से हटाने का आर्डर दिया है । 

अब आप सोच रहे होंगे कि दिल्ली में हुआ है और ये यहाँ हमे पका रहा है । पर जो आज दिल्ली में हो रहा है, वो जल्द ही हमारे आस पास भी हो सकता है । 

मैं मानता हूँ कि हम में से कुछ के अनुभव इन निरीह जीवो के साथ ख़राब, डरावने और बुरे भी रहे होंगे, पर इसका मतलब ये तो नहीं कि इसकी सजा सभी को दी जाए ?

अहमदाबाद प्लेन हादसे के बाद क्या सारी एयरलाइन्स बंद कर दी गयी है क्या? सारी छोडो जिसने लापरवाही की उसे बंद कर दिया गया क्या?

 

नहीं ना... तो फिर इन बेजुबानो पे ये अत्याचार क्यूँ?

सड़क पर घूमते वो आवारा कुत्ते से ज्यादा खतरनाक तो घर में पाले हुए वो विदेशी नस्ल के कुत्ते है और ये बात मैं नहीं एक रिपोर्ट में लिखी है । 

इंडियन आर्मी तक ने इन आवारा कुत्तो को border area में उनके काम के लिए सराहा है। 

मुझे नहीं पता मेरी ये बाते आप लोगो को कितनी सही या गलत लगी पर फिर भी यदि मेरी बात से आप एक 1% भी सहमत है तो इस Petition को साइन करे और प्लीज कम से कम 5 और लोगो से करवाइए। 

उन बेजुबान शेरू, टॉमी, भूरा, कालू के लिए जो हर सुबह आपके गेट पर खड़े होकर अपनी पूंछ हिलाते हुए आपके आने का इंतज़ार करते है और बदले में आपसे मांगते है सिर्फ 2 बिस्किट और थोडा सा प्यार जिसके वो हकदार है।
