Challenge NICE's Decision to Remove Kaftrio from the NHS

The Issue

My wife is a cystic fibrosis patient. Before she started taking Kaftrio, she suffered 3-4 chest infections a year and breathing issues that made working full time difficult. But since she started using this drug, her quality of life has improved incredibly. She can now work full time without any issues and enjoy life without the constant worry about her breathing.

Kaftrio is not just a drug; it's a lifeline for those living with cystic fibrosis. It has been proven to make massive improvements in patients' quality of life, allowing them to live longer, healthier lives and even maintain their jobs despite their health condition.

However, the recent decision by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) to remove Kaftrio from the NHS will have devastating effects on many people like my wife who depend on this drug for survival.

Without access to Kaftrio through the NHS, many cystic fibrosis patients will face significantly reduced quality of life; some may even be forced out of work due to deteriorating health conditions. This decision not only threatens their livelihood but also puts unnecessary strain on their mental well-being.

We cannot stand by while such an essential treatment is taken away from those who need it most. We urge NICE to reconsider its decision and restore access to Kaftrio through the NHS immediately.

Please sign this petition if you believe in fair access to lifesaving treatments like Kaftrio for all cystic fibrosis patients in need.
