We want Clayton County registered voters to support privatization of Clayton County Animal Control because since the Clayton County Police Department took over access to our animal control, they are trying to reinvent the wheel of rescue and our beautiful healthy animals are paying for this unnecessary madness with their lives. We need this vote on the November ballot because in less than a month and a half after their takeover, CCAC/CCPD has put to sleep 144 dogs, this is 4 less than the 148 that were put to sleep in the first six and a half months of 2014. This is very important to us because the CCPD is refusing to adopt a system of rescue that is remotely comparable to the system we had in place for 3 years that was indeed working. The system we had in place had already reduced CCAC's kill rate for dogs from 85% to 23%. CCAC 's kill rate is rapidly climbing back up. If we do not privatize our animal control, eventually none of our dogs on intake at CCAC will have a second chance at life and surely will wind up leaving CCAC .......OUT THE BACK DOOR IN A PLASTIC GARBAGE BAG OFF TO THE DUMP.
