Extradite to Zimbabwe and prosecute Dr. Walter J Palmer, a dentist from Minnesota, for the maximum penalty of 15 years, for poaching a protected lion.
The Issue
Cecil was an African lion which is a near-Endangered species. Dr. Walter J. Palmer and his hunting companions deliberately lured the lion, who lived in a protected area, OUT of that area in order to kill him and take his head as a trophy. They subsequently lied about where they killed him, removed his tracking collar and attempted to destroy evidence.
Other would be "trophy hunters"/poachers need to be given the maximum penalty for their actions so this does not keep happening again and again. The animals that Dr. Walter J. Palmer has killed already alone would fill a zoo.
