Only one trader / seafront Diner has been granted exclusive and favourable trading rights for many years on Aberystwyth Promenade to the detriment of the whole seafront; tourism, local businesses and hotels.

This is because of a 'historical' lease granted by the Council. How can, in this day and age, there be such a monopoly and these practices left to continue? We and other businesses located on the seafront are not allowed to place tables & chairs for our customers on the Prom, even when the Diner is closed during winter months! 

We want the right to trade fairly and for this lease to be revoked. If you care about the economic development of this beautiful Prom/town, then please let your voices be heard. Only then can we make a difference. Thank you.
