Smiley, Scabby and Baby are three Pitbulls who were seized from a dog fighting bust in 2013. Cerberos Pit Bull Rescue were called upon to house and rehabilitate all 37 dogs seized. At this time Tina and Laci were members of the rescue and employee's of the Cerberos Dog School. Smiley, Scabby and Baby were immediately taken into their personal care and they were the fosters for the 3 dogs. 

During the past year and a half, the three dogs have lived in Tina and Laci's home as members of a large pack and as family members. They worked on rehabilitation with the dogs. The success of Smiley's rehabilitation in particular, is respected and admired world wide.

After a personal dispute between the dedicated couple and Cerbero's, they left the Cerberos organisation and continued their work on an individual level. 

Cerberos has now legally claimed Smiley, Scabby and Baby back. They were removed from the care of Tina and Laci on Tues 24 February 2015.

These dogs have spent their lives suffering at the hands of humans in their past Dog Fighting lives. They finally felt safety, security and love in the home of Tina an Laci , they have now been ripped away from their family. Ripped away from the only place they have felt this sense of love and security.

Smileys positive progression in rehabilitation was very clear for all to see. Professionals in the industry and the general public will all agree that the work done by Tina and Laci was first class. The love between the couple and the dogs is also undeniable. Smiley showed a strong bond with both Tina and Laci, a bond which did not materialize overnight, but instead  took months of dedicated work and constant reassurance that they were now safe.

We find its shameful that these dogs would be taken away from their family. Taken from the only place in which they have been loved. A place which has been home for a year and a half and where they have not spent a day apart from Tina and Laci.  It is concerning that this decision could have detrimental consequences to all the good work previously done in regards to the dogs rehabilitation.

As it stands Cerberos are still seeking new temporary foster placement for Scabby showing that the housing situation for these babies is not solved. This means for certain that these dogs are back to feeling a lack of security which they have not had to feel for a year and a half in the are of Tina and Laci. Cerberos have removed these dogs from their home and their family with no place for them to go. 

It is with all this in mind that we, the public, request that Cerberos forgets any personal disputes with the couple and puts the psychological well-being and emotional needs of Smiley, Scabby and Baby first and that all three are returned to the care of Tina and Laci with immediate affect ,with also the option for further discussions regarding the dogs long term, permanent legal guardianship.

Smiley-t, Scabbyt és Babyt, a három pitbullt 2013-ban foglalták le harcoltatoktól. Az összesen 37 elkobzott kutya elhelyezésével és rehabilitációjával a Cerberos Pit Bull Rescue-t bízták meg. Tina és Laci ebben az időben tagja volt az egyesületnek, részt vettek a mentésben és kiképzői voltak a Cerberos Kutyaiskolának. Smiley, Scabby és Baby azonnali hatállyal személyes gondozásukba kerültek.

Az elmúlt másfél évben a három kutya együtt élt velük, a falkájukban, családtagként. Dolgoztak a rehabilitációjukon. Smiley-val elért sikereik világszerte elismertek és csodáltak.

Személyes ellentétek következtében Tina és Laci azóta elhagyták a Cerberost és egyedül folytatják munkájukat.

A Cerberos jogi úton visszakövetelte a három kutyát. 2015. február 24-dikén hatósági felszólításra Tina és Laci átadták őket.

A foglalást megelőzően ezek a kutyák a harcoltatók kezei között szenvedtek. Tinánál és Lacinál biztonságot és szeretetet találtak. Most pedig kiszakították őket családjukból, az egyetlen helyről, ahol életükben boldogok lehettek.

Smiley rehabilitációjának sikere mindenki számára egyértelműen látható. A szakértők és nyilvánosság is első osztályú munkaként értékeli. A szeretet köztük és a kutyák között szintén tagadhatatlan. Smiley kötődése Tinához és Lacihoz erős - egy ilyen kötelék nem alakul egyetlen éjszaka alatt, hónapok odaadó munkájának és az állandó biztonságérzetnek az eredménye.

Szégyenletesnek találjuk, hogy ezeket a kutyákat elszakították a családjuktól. Az egyetlen helyről, ahol valaha szeretetet kaptak. A helyről, ahol másfél évig éltek, ahol egy pillanatra sem kellett távol lenniük Tinától és Lacitól. Aggodalmunkat fejezzük ki a döntés iránt, melynek helyrehozhatatlan következményei lehetnek az eddig elért rehabilitációs eredményeikre.

Jelen állapot szerint a Cerberos ideiglenes befogadót keres Scabby számára, mely egyértelműen bizonyítja, hogy a kutyák elhelyezése részükről nem megoldott. Ennek eredményeként a kutyák elveszítik a biztonságnak azt az érzését, amelyben az elmúlt másfél évben részük volt. A Cerberos a hatóság közreműködésével elvette őket a családjuktól és nincs hova menniük.

A fent leírtak alapján mi, a közvélemény, ezennel kérjük, hogy a Cerberos vegye figyelmen kívül a személyes ellentéteket, Smiley, Scabby és Baby fizikai és érzelmi állapotát és szükségleteit tekintse a legfontosabbnak, azonnali hatállyal helyezze vissza a kutyákat Tina és Laci felügyelete alá és teremtse meg a lehetőségét a kutyák jövőbeli végleges elhelyezésére náluk.
