Hourly workers of FedEx are being threatened to lose their jobs if they do not show up to work, due to COVID-19. They are not being supplied any protections, or provided any prevention methods to avoid getting sick, or spreading this dangerous disease. There has been no mention of gloves, hand sanitizer, or masks. It is well known that COVID-19 can live on cardboard for up to 24 hours, and plastics for up 3 days.

Other companies are increasing their hourly wages - FedEx mentions nothing of this. Not only are we forced to work, we are told that we are replaceable. It’s that simple to them. Replaceable. They only care about the top dollar. Not the health and well-being of their dedicated employees who risk a multitude of things. Many of whom hardly survive of of FedEx low wages, care for elderly family members, and have young children. 

I myself have an immunocompromised child and depend on the hours so I can take care of her outside of my spouses work schedule. There are no other options for me, or my coworkers. We’re all single parents, have multiple jobs, full time college students. We depend on FedEx and they’re really dropping the ball on us. Are we worth it? No, just a number.
