Pet Valu used to be a strip-mall, hole-in-the-wall size store companion animal supply company.  It was, and still is, staffed by friendly and knowledgeable people.  And its biggest plus, and the reason we shopped there vs the cheaper larger chains, was it sold ONLY SUPPLIES...NO ANIMALS.

I've seen our local store morph into a beautiful establishment, more than three times its original size...obviously extremely successful with its supply-only protocol.  And then they started selling Betta Fish.  

These poor, stressed, sick and dying animals are stuffed into tiny jars...not kept in anywhere near the conditions prescribed to keep them healthy:  How to Care for a Betta Fish

This is not the first time I've complained (called, emailed, Facebook messaged) to Pet Valu higher ups...but since my voice and concern for these innocent beings go unheeded...I'm taking it to the Care 2 public to pressure Pet Valu into doing what is correct...stop the sale of live animals.

Side note:  the Pet Valu staff HATES this shift into live animals, but their voices, like my own, are ignored.
