The Starbucks corporation is undoubtedly one of the most successful coffee companies that seemingly has a location on every corner. For this very reason it is a convenient stop in the mornings for all walks of life who are in need of caffeine and food before their long work or school day. Recently they have come out with Impossible Breakfast Sandwich and the Plant-Based Breakfast sandwich that have substituted “meat” patties to replace the traditional beef. Although this is a step toward the right direction as the livestock industry plays a huge role in climate change, more extensive measures need to be had.  

I am asking Kevin Johnson, the CEO of the Starbucks Corporation, to expand their line of vegan foods because it is important to not only implement vegan alternatives as a “fad” similarly to other fast food restaurants, but really show the public that vegan food can be convenient, cheap, and tastier than the animal products. By expanding their vegan menu Starbucks could inherently increase awareness about more conscious alternatives and potentially influence other fast food chains to increase their menus as well. With the vast amount of resources the company undoubtedly has, as well as the ever expanding market of vegan products, Starbucks could potentially create very tasty animal-friendly foods for the everyday consumer. It is crucial now than ever that we collectively try to cut down on meat consumption even if it is one breakfast sandwich at a time. Please sign this petition so the Starbucks corporation can increase their animal-friendly menu and demonstrate that their consumers believe food can be conscious and convenient.
