The health of our children requires precaution, so we ask the Bass Coast Shire Council to fund a pilot scheme using alternatives to glyphosate at child-care centres, schools, playgrounds and parks.

In March 2015 the WHO's expert committee on cancer research classified glyphosate ("Roundup") as a "probable human carcinogen", after reviewing scientific evidence. Since then, many countries have acted to ban or phase out the use of glyphosate. Many cities are trialling non-chemical weed control for public areas.
