Confessio, a mocking-religion app, launched with the stated intent of "Getting us rid of guilt anywhere, anytime". Despite the use of Christian symbolisms, this would not be good for a Catholic to use because the Sacrament of Reconciliation must be done in the presence of a priest to be valid, the Christ's emissary on Earth.

Furthermore, an indulgence cannot be used as a way to skip penance. The presence of an indulgence is not just a mock of Faith but also harmful for the penitent who may believe he/she has properly confessed his/her sins.

The Catholic community has been insulted, mocked and criticized. It is time that we stand up and do something about it. Apple needs to be told that this is beyond unacceptable. If you believe in God, please take one minute to sign this petition and share it!
