There are four Samatran tigers held captive inside the Denver Aquarium. This habitat is shockingly inappropriate for tigers. They are kept indoors in small spaces at all times.  When questioned about this situation, a Landry's representative responded that the tigers are being kept as ambassadors for all tigers everywhere.

In other words, they are being made to sacrifice their lives so that we may care about all tigers. Let's face it - this is all about selling tickets!

There are better ways to introduce tigers to the world than asking them to live out their lives in an unnatural, confining environment. While it is true that there are few natural areas on earth  that are still safe for tigers in the wild, surely we can do better than an aquarium.  The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, CO, just to the north of Denver offers 720 acres of land for large animal carnivores. That is where these tigers should go.
