There have been many adaptations of Iliad and countless movies based on the retellings  of the story but, not one based on The song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. Her adaptation of the story is different than all the other retellings because it focuses on the relationship between Patroclus and Achilles. Instead of them being "close friends," like many other stories, Miller makes them lovers. The fan-base for this story has wanted a movie ever since the book came out in 2011. The closest we've ever come to the movie we want is "Troy" (2004). "Troy" did a lot of things right, but they ruined it by making Patrocus and Achilles cousins. If we get 10,000 petitions I'll take my idea to a movie franchise. (with Madeline Miller's permission of course)
