Dear Andrew Gee,

I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of great urgency and importance. Central West NSW for Palestine gathered on Friday, March 15, at 11 am to hand-deliver a petition with over 230 signatures to you, expressing deep disappointment and frustration with your lack of action and support in response to the crisis in Gaza.

The ongoing violence in Gaza had resulted in the tragic loss of over 30,000 lives, with a staggering 72% of the victims being women and children. Despite our repeated calls for immediate action, your failure to prioritize peace and justice in the region has been a source of great distress for us.

It was deeply concerning that Australia's lack of vocal support for international actions against Israel and its failure to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Your voting against motions addressing the crisis in Gaza has contributed to the perpetuation of silence and complicity in the ongoing genocide.

Central West for Palestine demanded accountability from Australian leaders and called for justice for Palestine. We urged you to prioritize peace and justice by demanding an immediate ceasefire and restoring funding for UNRWA. Your inaction on this matter has left us deeply upset and disappointed.

We stood in solidarity with the people of Palestine and reiterated our call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza outside your office. Your support and action on this matter were crucial for the lives and well-being of the innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.

Despite our lobbying, none of your actions to date have supported peace in Gaza. War is not your constituency wants. We will continue to bring to light your lack of support. You are on the wrong side of history. With great disappointment we send you this letter.
