The ALR property in question was on the agenda at the Central Saanich Council mtg September 14th, 2020. No development applications have been received to date.  A letter from the director of planning and building services is attached on the agenda on their website. 

Two motions were made tonight: 

1. In anticipation of an application, Council could send a letter to the Agricultural Land Commission, highlighting the District's OCP policies which support the preservation of agricultural land.

2. In light of community concerns and interest expressed by PACE FC to establish a soccer/multi-sport facility on this site, Council could send a letter to the property owner to ensure they are well aware of the OCP policies and approval steps required before any non farm use (soccer/multi-sport facility use or otherwise) or construction of related buildings could begin.
