Buying ALR land because it costs less and trying to bend the rules afterward has been done so many times. The ALR is not a perfect system and it’s unfortunate that a great deal of the land remains uncultivated. Nevertheless, synthetic turf sports fields are problematic anywhere let alone on ALR land. I respect the “Field of Dreams” inspiration here but I have to say I don’t support it.
