The revenue collection at Sabarimala during the ongoing Mandalam pilgrim season was Rs.130.75 crore as on Saturday, TDB pesident, Prayar Gopalakrishnan has said. This is against the Rs.141.64 crore collected during the same period last year. The Aravana and Appam sales alone had earned Rs.50.29 crore and Rs.9.9 crore respectively this year against its previous year’s earnings of Rs.54.31 crore and Rs.10.32 crore. The hundi collection at Sabarimala as on Saturday morning was Rs.49,58,58,462 against its previous year’s collection of Rs.54.17 crore during the same period in 2014.
