We are making headway in our urgent concern for the Brightline Speed-Rail passing through our communities in the SR 417 corridor; including Hunter's Creek, Meadow Woods, Kempton Park, Deerfield, Falcon Pointe.

Please pass this petition on to your friends and neighbors to support our effort to ensure that our beautiful communities are not permanently changed, when a less harmful path exists through the industrial corridor that runs along SR 528.

SR 528 was the route that was approved in 2010 for this project. Now Brightline is using the excuse that it is cheaper to build the heavy rail system through SR 417. Those numbers have not been verified, and this is a private company standing to gain profits by imposing a speed train that will make us carry all the burden, but will not give our local neighborhoods any benefits.

Placing the High Speed Railway on SR 417 can will only endanger our wildlife, pristine wetlands, our conservation areas, Shingle Creek, and our elementary and middle schools while creating additional noise and vibration every 30 minutes. All of this will change our quality of life.

We have enough noise with regular 417 traffic, racing cars on the weekends, and the loud landings and take-offs of commercial jets over our neighborhoods.
