To cancel CBSE board exams of India in Kuwait due to the current pandemic situation

The Issue

In light of the certain events regarding corona virus and the rise of cases in the past few months in Kuwait this is a petition to cancel 2021 class 10 and 12 CBSE boards.

• Deeply concerned that students have not been to school the entire year since March 2020 and online school is a new measure taken by schools which is not as efficient and cannot measure up to offline school.

• Recognizing class 12 students have to apply for further studies, online classes as stated above is not efficient and therefore will be detrimental to the students future.

• Alarmed by the number of cases having peaked to 1.7K per day and expecting to cross 2K on a daily according to Arab times ( https://www.arabtimesonline.com/news/health-situation-not-reassuring-cases-expected-to-hit-2000-daily/ and taking into consideration last year when boards were cancelled when cases were only below 100. It seems unfair to put so many students at risk.

• Taking into account the decline in the mental health of students due to quarantine and/or any loss of loved ones.

• Requests the schools to work towards cancelling cbse boards and instead taking predicated scores ( as they have been given based on past exam performances and overall evaluation of the students) given by respective teachers.

• Aware of occasional unstable internet connections the students have not been able to avail the full potential of online school.
