Indian School Education textbooks include various chapters and texts that include Mughal history, Colonial history, European history and other stories that do not mention any Indian history of great worth in general. This is our request that children from their most beginning to be taught about indian scriptures such as Vedas, Upanishads and the histories of Ramayana, Mahabharata.There also needs to be mentions of Indian scriptures on science and technology that was already suggests it is modern and things were invented as well discovered (like pushpaka vimana in Ramayana and how quantum theory, is given in Vedas and Upanishads - These are the words of great scientists of modern world such as Neils Bohr, Heisenberg, etc). The Congress especially after independence has distorted Indian textbooks in hail people like B.R. Ambedhkar and Nehru, whereas there is no or very little mention of people like and freedom fighters such as Mangal Pandey, Bhagat Singh, Rani of Jhansi and king Maharana Pratap. The history is distorted in a way that being an Indian comes with shame only because of wrong and misinterpreted texts in Indian school textbooks. Students of India are misguided into believing that they are lesser than other nations because of the practices (such as ghunghat and sati pratha) that NEVER EXISTED IN INDIA in the first place and which came after India was captured by mughals.This needs change and correct history to be taught in Indian textbooks as there needs to be awareness among the people of India about their own history.
