Friday 11th March 2022 was a day for shark online loan app companies operating in Nigeria Internet space. They were raided and cracked down by "Joint Taskforce Committee" of Federal Competition and Consumers Protection Council (FCCPC), Independent Corrupt Practices Commission(ICPC), The Nigeria Police, National Information and Technology Development Agency (NITDA) for violating Nigerians digital rights especially the use of defamation of customers characters as tool for debt recovery.

Recall six months ago, I had started online petition against the above authorities challenging the unlawful practices perpetrated by these shark loan apps. That petition got over 8,700 signatures and you were part of it. Thank you for signing, it really helped push the message further.

I also did an independent assessment report on shark loans app companies in Nigeria vs Customers and submitted same to the "Taskforce Committee".

I am particularly glad that of 4 prayers our report prayed for, 3 have already been answered and addressed including this crackdown. The one remaining is the one more crucial to us all, which is the prosecution of those found wanting in the act so as to serve as deterrent to others.

It will be total day of victory declaration the day those prosecuted are judged before a competent court in Nigeria.
