It's a sound of victory that relevant Government agencies (Joint Task Force), have written Google and Playstore to delete those unscrupulous sharkloan apps on their platform to safeguard vulnerable Nigerians from scam and digital abuse and violation.

That is exactly what we wanted and that gave birth to this petition. Once again thank you for endorsing the petition for amplification.

It's a win for all.

Remember my update that on 11th March 2022, these loan shark companies were raided and cracked down by the "Joint Taskforce Committee" of Federal Competition and Consumers Protection Council (FCCPC)- one of our decision-makers, Independent Corrupt Practices Commission(ICPC), The Nigeria Police, National Information and Technology Development Agency (NITDA) for violating Nigerians digital rights especially the use of defamation of customers characters as a tool for debt recovery.
Recall six months ago, I had started an online petition against the above authorities challenging the unlawful practices perpetrated by these shark loan apps. That petition got over 8,700 signatures and you were part of it. Thank you for signing, it really helped push the message further.
I also did an independent assessment report on shark loans app companies in Nigeria vs Customers and submitted same to the "Taskforce Committee".
I am particularly glad that of 4 prayers our report prayed for, 3 have already been answered and addressed including this crackdown. The one remaining is the one more crucial to us all, which is the prosecution of those found wanting in the act so as to serve as deterrent to others.
It will be total day of victory declaration the day those prosecuted are judged before a competent court in Nigeria.
