The Global Alliance for Legal Aid (GALA) USA in partnership with Children and Young People Living for Peace (CYPLP) Nigeria are jointly launching a Design Contest just for you!

Well, actually we also want to communicate to consumers about the real risks of digital app financial loans in a proactive and fun manner, to how consumers feel using the services. How has your experience been?

You could win $100 USD for the best graphic art design with a tag line reflecting your deep thoughts on fair digital financial services.  

What does "fair" mean to you the financial consumer who uses digital apps loans platform(s) for financial services in Nigeria?

Are these digital financial services providing you with a valuable service and are they respecting your rights as a consumer, or as a human being for that matter?

Put those sentiments into your design/art and add an explanatory message for your graphics

We appreciate humor, reality and and all forms of artistic expression in your words and art, but please respect other's dignity, beliefs and human rights (and of course, the law).  

But, feel free to speak your mind the way it is, or yell truth to power.  We hear you!

The explanatory note that accompanies the graphic design should be a short, succinct advertising-like message.  Think of some of the more famous brands which use 10 words or less to complement their brands.
 
We, the Consumers need our own brand message to send to financial services providers.  

Namely, that we want them to do better:  

No more stealing our data; no abusing our right to privacy by calling/messaging all our contacts (and grandma too); no more harassment; no more hiding the terms and conditions to your high cost products that are not suitable for consumers’ financial service needs.

Your design and message must be original work and submitted on or before March 10th, 2022 at midnight Nigeria time. Winner will be announced on March 15th, 2022 to mark World Consumer's Rights Day.

To participate you must have social media handles - Facebook, Twitter and or Instagram. Your submission be in jpeg format.

Applicants should both post their design on their social media handles with hashtag #FairFinancialPractices #WorldConsumerrightsDay2022 #NigeriaAppLoans and send their design to us at - FairDigitalFinance@gmail.com 

Winner will be selected jointly by GALA & CYPLP team.

1. Scoring will be based on best graphic design : 50%

2. Best message : 50%

3. Judge's decision will be final and not appeal-able.

5. We are planning to have more contest in the future for a variety of artistic media (next up is music contest so watch out!).

• Not older than 35 years of age on date of submission of your contest entry. Winner will be validated before receiving the prize.
