Nurses strike In Kerala

Nurses in private hospitals are paid very less than minimum wages and they are exploited by the private management by imposing heavy duty hours, less salary than a Coolie worker and denial of leave and other job benefits. In 2012 United Nurses Association (UNA) have started a revolution in kerala to hike the minimum wage of Staff Nurses working in private hospitals of Kerala State. A committee was appointed by then Kerala UDF Govt but none of its recommendations are implimented yet. Supreme Court of India also directed to increase the minimum wage of Nurses but that also has not been followed by the Central and Kerala state Govts till now. In this context, None of the visual and print medias are not supporting this genuine strike because they fear the private hospital capitalists. So please support the nurses of kerala to help them live in a better living condition with good salary and benefits
