Update the outdated BMI chart for Children and Adults

The Issue

The BMI chart was first made in the 19th century and has made little to no change. I believe that with this chart it sends the wrong message to those with trouble keeping a “balanced” weight with their height. It is VERY unrealistic to stay at one weight type your whole life. People are depressed, have eating disorders, or no access to actual healthy lifestyles due to their own situations. I also believe it can harm children who are very impressionable and will obtain eating disorders, just as I did, because they be higher on the scale. Really to be honest I think it is crap and I’m not the only one who thinks so. I’ve heard doctors, dietitians, personal trainers, and so many others speak out about how it’s not realistic. Someone who is perfectly fit and healthy could be high on their BMI chart even if they are fully muscle. I think we need to either take it away completely or change it. Do what you can and SIGN THIS.
