I want your valuable support for a noble cause. Your mother sister and wife are facing menstrual pain and discomfort every month. Your support will help them all to get some relief to overcome this. Women should have a right to take one day of menstrual leave per month.

The demand for menstrual leave/period leave seeks one day off in a month (in total 12 days per year) from work solely for menstruating women employees in order to give women more flexibility and a healthier environment. 

This should not be misinterpreted and Feminist should not get split on whether period leave is a step back or a sign of progress when it comes to women’s rights. Women during their periods are silent sufferer choosing not to disclose their pain rather than demand their right to rest. They don’t want to talk about it with any men so It is also a hope to break down the menstruation taboo. 

Some countries like South Korea, Taiwan, Zambia etc and 12 companies in India such as Swiggy, Culture Machine, Magzter etc are already offering period leave to their female employees. 

This petition is filed to grant 12 days Menstrual/ Period leave in a year for female employees. Kindly support this petition by putting your valuable signatures on it and please forward this to as many as people so that every women associated with you can get benefitted and get some relief on those painful days.
