Greetings supporters, We received some new detailed communications from Celsius support that explains more than the generic "our devs are looking into this".  Please see below with the emphasis on the bold italic highlight.

Hello, Thank you for reaching out. The issue is that we are unable to access the coins for they were sent via an unsupported blockchain. This means that the coins are in the wallet, but we do not have the compatibility to access them. This is why we are communicating with our custodians along with all the necessary departments in order to see if we will be implementing the Polygon blockchain in order to be able to access the coins to be able to either transfer them back to the wallet address they were sent from or to your Celsius Account. This is a long process for if we are to integrate the Polygon network, it is not a simple process for it requires implementing the network, security features, wallet addresses, custodial wallets, APY integrations, risk evaluations, and more. This is ultimately the reason why I can not provide you with an ETA for there is no current procedure integrated within our system that we follow for this process but rest assured it is most definitely being reviewed and this matter is not being taken lightly.
