Alton Sterling was a 37 year old African American man who sold CDS outside a convenience store. On Tuesday July 6, Sterling was needlessly shot by two officers who were filmed by bystanders. These officers used excessive and unnecessary force on a man who was pinned down by both of them simply because he had a gun he could not have possibly reached in his pocket. Being African American and carrying a gun does not entitle an officer to immediately shoot. Video shows no clear and present danger. Please do not allow this travesty of Justice to be mishandled. Please have these officers suspended without pay and open a Department of Justice investigation regarding the matter.
