Rohana Joshi started this petition to Cedarcrest High School

Late Halloween night, two students at Cedarcrest High School posted a very violent image to Instagram thinking they were creating a funny joke.

It showed a student,  dressed as a police officer kneeling on the neck of his friend, (last name unknown) (attends a different school) recreating the scene of what occurred with George Floyd. This image was taken by.

After speaking with school officials, they informed us that they cannot do anything about this situation due to it not occurring on school grounds.

If these students are not held accountable for what they did, it will in fact progress from here and teach other kids that this type of behavior and blatant ignorance is okay.

Dozens of students at Cedarcrest High School are trying to contact administrators so that something like this does not occur again. Though this incident did not happen on school grounds, the students in this situation are a part of the school. Many minority groups feel unsafe having to attend school with such racist, uneducated people.

Please sign this petition so that we may hold and accountable. Currently, many Cedarcrest High School students are highly upset by this situation and even more disappointed with school officials for not taking proper action to what is going on. We truly hope to make CHS a safe place again.
