We the undersigned, your local constituents, urgently call upon you to join the rapidly growing global and local chorus demanding an immediate ceasefire and cessation of hostilities in Gaza. 

This is both an urgent moral and political necessity. General statements of concern for civilians ring hollow without a call for an immediate CEASEFIRE NOW. 

How many more families and children must die under such comprehensive and brutal Israeli bombardment, even within the safety of schools and hospitals? How can you, our representatives in government, sanction such legally, morally, and ethically indefensible death and destruction carried out with American armaments and logistical help? 

What will “the morning after” look like in America and in the Middle East, let alone peace and the “ two-state solution” you all purport to support, when we reflect on how America failed to stop this, even after more than 12,000 deaths, half of whom are children? 

You are all complicit if you do not join this call for a CEASEFIRE NOW!
