I am an ardent advocate for animals, dogs in particular, and it deeply saddens me to know that they are being used in laboratory tests. As a person who cherishes the relationship between humans and dogs, I feel a profound need to address this issue. Each year, around 100,000 dogs, predominantly beagles due to their obedient nature, are used for lab testing in the United States (Source: American Anti-Vivisection Society). These dogs suffer immensely, both physically and mentally, in conditions that can contribute nothing meaningful to their existence. Using these innocent beings for such inhumane purposes defies ethical values and enhances cruelty.

In today's era, multiple alternatives to animal testing are available, including computerized patient-drug databases and virtual drug trials. Therefore, it is no longer justifiable to use animals for these brutal practices.

We request officials to pass legislation to stop laboratory testing on dogs. It is our responsibility to protect them, to guarantee their right to live undisturbed by the terrors of unnecessary suffering. Please, sign this petition to help us protect these innocent lives.
