As an advocate for the rights of all creatures earth-bound, it brings me unquantifiable pain to witness the disgusting treatment of one of the most loyal beings of our world: the equines. Each day, these stunning creatures, horses and their equine kin, are led into what can only be rightly described as purgatory on earth - a kill pen. These equines are left to starve, crammed into an overly confined space, and then brutally and traumatically slaughtered. This must stop!

Nations worldwide must stand against this unspeakable cruelty. Over one hundred thousand horses and other equine species are slaughtered annually in some countries, their remains often exported for human and animal consumption (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). A practice as barbaric and inhumane as this has no place in any civilized society, and it is our duty to be the voice of these innocent, loyal creatures who ask for nothing but our kindness.

We call upon governments, animal protection agencies, and human rights organizations globally to put an immediate end to the slaughter of horses and other equine species. Establish strict legislation prohibiting such acts of cruelty, and implement severe punishments for individuals or groups found guilty of such violations. Let us rise together to protect these beautiful creatures who have offered humanity so much and ask for so little in return. Join us in standing against equine slaughter and sign this petition.
