To everyone who stood with us through the petition to “SAVE PAGO PARK,” this moment matters.

What began as a community voice, a petition, and a fight to protect our park is now leading to measurable progress.

The American Samoa Government has officially issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB 031-2026) for improvements at Pago Pago Park.

This project, led by the Department of Parks & Recreation, includes:
Refurbishing the existing tennis courts
Building a new multi-purpose court for basketball and volleyball
Adding four pickleball courts for expanded community use

These improvements are a significant step toward restoring Pago Park as a safe, active, and family-friendly space.  We could not stop all the development we initially fought against, but this progress shows what sustained advocacy can do. Fa’afetai tele to the Department of Parks & Recreation, the Governor’s Office, Public Works, and Procurement for your hard work in moving this forward for our park.

Your voices made this possible.

We are not done, but we are moving in the right direction.

Pago Park will once again be a place for everyone to enjoy, and we remain committed to its protection.
