Cease Animal Cruelty and Promote Adoption over Breeding

Cease Animal Cruelty and Promote Adoption over Breeding
The Issue
Five things that could be better in my school or community:
- Public Safety and Accessibility - More streetlights, safer pedestrian crossings, and ramps for individuals with disabilities to make the community more inclusive.
- More Public Green Spaces - Create or maintain parks, community gardens, and recreational areas to enhance residents' quality of life.
- Stray Animal Welfare - Establish programs for feeding and sheltering stray animals.
- Environmental Initiatives - Implement eco-friendly practices, such as recycling programs and school gardens, to promote sustainability.
- Anti-Bullying Campaigns - Foster a culture of kindness and respect through awareness campaigns and strict policies to address bullying.
Chosen Priority: Stray Animal Walfare
Every time I walk around my city, I encounter many stray animals, such as dogs and cats. A common characteristic among them is that they often have injuries, are sick, and have very skinny bodies. This proves that we, as humans, have failed to protect these voiceless animals from harm. Living life hungry and without a home is heartbreaking to witness, yet many people do not even bat an eye.
According to the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), there are 12 million stray dogs in the Philippines while a single female cat can be responsible for a feral colony of as many as 30 cats in a single year. This issue of abandonment and cruelty toward animals is not only in the Philippines but also all over the world.
We strongly encourage you to contribute to and support this movement. We prioritize adoption over breeding because it gives animals a second chance to live a good life, with a loving home and family. Let us not forget that these animals have feelings and rights to live. Be a part of a community that fights for those abused and forgotten.
Your commitment to this cause can create meaningful change and inspire others to follow your lead. Together, we can give these animals the second chance they deserve. Sign this petition today and aid us in our mission to bring hope to the countless animals on the streets.
