We the undersigned are opposed to the proposed closing of six bus stops including the end of Lark Street and both ends of Washington Avenue and replacing them with two stops and a crosswalk on the midsection of Washington Avenue between Lark and Dove. These changes create an unsafe situation for pedestrians and traffic as well as an inconvenient spot for passengers to be dropped off. This will also greatly affect the quality of life for the residents of the block of Washington Avenue and adversely affect the Iron Gate Café and other businesses. It will replace 28 parking spots in front of residences and businesses with the constant arrival and departure of buses with bus noise, fumes and riders disembarking buses.
