As a student of Coweta County, I witness the usage of GoGuardian on every students’ Chromebook. GoGuardian has become a major roadblock and a nuscence to Coweta Students since September/October of 2016; when Chromebooks were issued countywide. The usage of this monitoring program does currently and can potentially continue to hinder Students from finding research they might need for a project, watching educational documentaries & films, and even messaging their peers and classmates about homework and group assignments. All because of certain webpages being prohibited and unaccessable to them. All i’m asking is that we make a change. My proposition is that all school appropriate webpages that are blocked will be unblocked. (Netflix, Youtube videos, Google Hangouts, and other blocked informational sites.)
